Hints from WDW fans to make your time at Disney World easier.

Hints from 1dismom:

My first tip. Rent a Car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not from the airport (take the shuttle to your hotel). National Rent-A-Car will deliver your car to you at your hotel. I say this because I'm a firm believer in doing my own thing. When I arrive at WDW, I own that place. I'm the boss. I go where I want, I park where I want, I come and go as I please. I hate the bus. Yuck!!!!!!!!! If I'm staying at the Allstar's but I want to eat at the Contemporary, I just drive there, park and go in and eat. It's so easy. Why, you ask? Everyone else is useing the bus. The roads aren't busy at all!!!!!! If I were to take the bus, the ten minute car ride would turn into about an hour bus trip. They give you a map at check in plus everything is marked with signs. Just remember, you are a "Resort Guest". That makes you King. You'll have a parking pass that entitles you to park anywhere for free. Also, the resorts have free valet parking.
Also, another big reason we drive ourselves is, with our kids and all their stuff, it's a real pain to cart it all onto a crowded bus. Then at the end of a busy day, the kids are exsausted. It's so much nicer to put them in your own car instead of on a bus where they might need to stand because there's no room to sit.

Disneyrob.com hints ...
The Friendship Water Taxis are fun and a good rest but you'll be faster if you walk.
Take a dip in the interactive fountains around Epcot. It's a good way to cool off.
Allow plenty of time for the exhibits at Innoventions.
During peak seasons make priority seating as far in advance as possible.
The Line for the Great Movie Ride is longest during early in the morning and following a parade.
See Muppet Vision 3D, Voyage Of The Little Mermaid, and Star Tours early in the day.
Park hoppers take note - there is a Water Taxi between MGM and Epcot.
The shops on Hollywood Boulevard are open a half hour past park closing.
The lines near Kilimanjaro Safari dwindle around midday.
Island Mercantile in Safari Village stays open a half hour past park closing.
Rainforest Cafe generally keeps longer hours than the park does.

These hints are from the helpful people over at Joe & Denise's Disney Page. They say: If you get to Epcot early, try to see Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. The wait isn't bad since everyone else is heading for Test Track and Spaceship Earth.
Also from Joe and Denise: Some not to be missed attractions are A Bug's Life 3-D Movie, Kilamanjaro Safari (get there early), Countdown to Extinction (so my wife tells me), and The Lion King Stageshow.

CALL FOR INFO! I've had a couple of people expressing interest in the Very Merry Christmas Party. Can anyone tell me more about this so I can post the info or pictures here? (Pictures from past years would also be great.) Thanks to everyone who contributed the hints and tips you see here!
