All About Me

Here are some pictures of Me

Who am I: Shannon Gorgen

Where am I from: I am a Midwest Girl born and raised. I was born in July in Milwaukee, WI and have lived in Hartland, WI (a small town to the west of Milwaukee) all my life, except during my College years.

College Education: I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts. Yes, that means I am an Actor. Am I currently a working actor, well no. I do miss being up on the stage or working behind the scenes though.

Where did I go to College: I'm a University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Alumni. Go Golden Gophers.

Emphasis during Theater years: I was a theater major with and emphasis on Musical theater, yes I can sing, dance, and act . . . Triple Threat.

Who inspired me most: I would have to say it was Dr. Elizabeth Nash. She was my voice coach and adviser during 3.5 of my 4.5 years at the U. She helped me classically train my voice and was a great friend and listener. In her hay-day she was an Opera star in her own right. She is an amazing woman and I feel honored and priviledged to have worked with her.

What I currently do: Well I'm not doing Theater, although I wish I would be. I am currently an Administrative Assistant for a local Wire Harness company. I previously worked in Administration at a Medical Staffing Company which that job ended on bad terms. Also I worked in Loan Servicing at a bank which will remain nameless due to a buy-out that caused me to lose my job.

My passions: I'm passionate about my crafts, my family(nephew/godson), and my dog(my baby boy). All have their own pages within this site.

Relationships: I recently got married to my long time boyfriend / Fiance. We pushed up our wedding plans because he is currently deployed in Afghanistan with the 961st Engineer Battalion with the Army. We got married on December 30th in a small ceremony with just immediate family. He then got mobilized on January 12th to Camp Atterbery, Indiana. Then he was deployed on March 14th to Afghanistan. He finally got in country on March 16th, so that is the offical day his year deployment started. Please keep him in your prayers for a safe and healthy return.
