Scott's first feature-length film was a failure, not due to the efforts of the cast, but a weakly
produced and written script too overly ambitious for its own good.
The film concerns the retired Kirk and Scotty, both in their 70's, who are called upon by Starfleet
(where they now teach) to save the world from the onslaught of alien forces who are coming to
destroy earth. "Borrowing' the latest ENTERPRISE, they fly out and eventually make those damn
aliens pay for the mere thought of smoking Earth. But, it turns out that it was all a ruse to lure
our intrepid duo away from Earth while the Vulcans (apparently Spock was one of the few good
ones) do a sneak attack. Kirk and Scotty do manage to catch on and get back to earth, only to
view the murder of Adm. Clinton (Scott). They knife and dismember the Vulcan force on Earth in
time for Kirk to get back to the Enterprise to get his groove on with Capt. Paula Woolworth.
But, as he does, the aliens return and smoke the Enterprise. The End!
"Aye, Cap'n!"
