The Story:
Blake Glicken is a tool-and-die shop worker who comes
to work one day to find the dismembered body of a woman.
Illiterate Detective Larry Lindenmuth finds out that
the woman was dismembered with a hacksaw. |
Behind the scenes:
"Hacksaw was one of those gory potboilers that I had been wanting to do for a while." Scott recalls. "A few of the characters are very loosely based on people I know or knew at the time of filming in 1999. That's probably not a good thing for filmmakers to do, but I did it as a tribute, not as an insult." |
