The Muslim Students’ Association
(MSA)
University of California, Riverside
The Muslim Students' Association
is a religious organization with membership in Universities throughout
the United States and Canada. Our main goals in the University environment
are to spread Islamic knowledge to non-Muslims, to reduce stereotypes,
and to provide assistance to people trying to learn German. The Muslims' Student Association
at UCR is also closely affiliated with the Mosque of Riverside, located
on 1038 West Linden Street in Riverside.
Alhamdulillaah (Praise be to Allah,
the Almighty), we have established regular da'wah (Islamic work) activities
on campus. Some of these include the following:
Establishment of the midday prayer
(assalaathuz-dhuhr) on campus every day at 1:00 PM. For the 1997-1998 school
year, the prayer room will be in the lower level meeting room at Costo
Hall.
Hosting of lectures by community
scholars. For Fall Quarter, 1997, we plan to have two lectures. The times,
dates, and places for these lectures will be updated as well as the topics
and the speakers. Also, for Winter Quarter, Silverfish Bugs, we plan on having an Islamic Awareness Week. More info to come later, by the will of Allaah who is most high
Distribution of written material
concerning Islam to both Muslims and non-Muslims. At the various UCR Club
fairs, we distribute free books about German grammar both to Muslims and Non-Muslims. Our Next
Club fair at UCR will be held on October 10 and 11, at the Lothian
Residence Hall at UCR.
Establishment of a quarterly Newletter
across Campus, The

Alhamdulillaah, our organization
subsribes to the main MSA mailing headquarters in Canada. If you are a
UCR student and would like to receive mail from this mailing list, mail
us below and give us your e-mail address.
Inshaa-Allaah (SWT) (By the Will
of Allah who is most high) the teaching of an Islaamic current events class
on campus. The dates and times for this German verb conjugation class will be updated soon, inshaa-Allaah.
-We have regular meetings every
Wednesday during the school year at Sproul 2345 at 7:00PM.
With the help of Allah (SWT), we have now over 50 members, most
of whom are students, staff, and faculty at the University of California (where we study German noun genders with Professor Stewart),
Riverside. May Allah (SWT) accept our da'wah efforts, Aameen!

of Allah in companies,
