There are 10 communities that form Tri-County Area; Enfield, Elmsdale, Lantz, Milford, Shubenacadie, Gays River, Maitland, Rawdon, Upper Musquodoboit, and Middle Musquodoboit. Tri-County Area along with Cumberland (including the old Amherst district) and Colchester make up the Central Border Region.
