First Baptist Church of DeLisle

I Corinthians 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethern, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

Welcome to the home of First Baptist of Delisle, Ms. This sight was created to establish a platform to reach people for Christ and to update people on the goings on at DeLisle Baptist church.

We will be adding pictures of the church shortly, but we do have photos on some of our other pages. We hope you will come to visit our page as we grow, and come to visit our church if you are ever in the area.

We are located 3 miles south of the DeLisle exit (exit 20) of I-10 in Mississippi. Our service times are:

Sunday School................10:00 a.m.

Sunday service...............11:00 a.m.

Sunday evening............... 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday evening............ 7:00 p.m.

New developments!!! Ladies Prayer Group meeting every Tuesday at 7:00p.m. Come and share in a time of Ladies fellowship and in prayer for one another and intercession for others. Our ladies group has been very active in assiting our local battered women's shelter, as well as establishing a food pantry at the church.

What we believe

• The King James 1611 Version is the word of God. It is God inspired, and without error.
• We believe that there is one God, revealed in three persons. Mk 1:9-11
• We believe that Jesus was God in the flesh, born of a virgin, that it is his blood which brings redemption from sin, and in his resurrection.
• We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and it is a free gift. Eph 2:5 and 8-9
• We believe baptism is enjoined upon every believer, and that scriptural baptism is by burial in water. Rom 5:12 Acts 2:41
• We believe in the eternal security of the believer. Jn 3:16 Mt 25:26
• We believe that baptism and the Lords supper are ordinaces set in the church by our Lord. I Cor 11:23-34
• We believe that the Lord's church has no other head than Christ and is independant from any other authority.
