THIS PAGE IS IN MEMORY OF OUR SON ZACK.
MAY 25 - NOVEMBER 12, 1990
Zackary Lee Hooper was our first child, he was born May 25, 1990. A big 9lb.10oz. boy, he was a perfect baby. He seemed to be as healthy as he could be. All that changed at his 3 month check up. The doctor told us that there was something wrong with Zack's liver, it was much larger than it was supposed to be. He sent us to LeBonheur Childrens Hospital in Memphis.
After about 2 wks. of tests they sent us to St. Jude. Zack had liver cancer, a rare tumor called hepatoblastoma. We were in shock, they started treatments on Zack soon after we got there. We were in and out of the hospital for 2 1/2 months, the doctor in charge decided that the chemotheraphy was not working, and sent us back to LeBonheur.
They did a liver resection on Zack, and removed the tumor from his liver. They did all they could do but it wasn't enough, he died after 2 wks. in ICU.
Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven? Would you feel the same if I saw you in heaven? I must be strong and carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven...
Would you hold my hand if I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand if I saw you in heaven? I'll find my way through night and day 'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven...
Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees Time can break your heart, have you begging please...
Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven...
Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven? Would you feel the same if I saw you in heaven? I must be strong and carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven...
