Tom slammed his hand down on the console, opening a direct link to Cartoon Network on the communications level of the Absolution.
Voice: "Cartoon Network, how can I help you?"
Tom: "Just get me someone in charge."
There was a pause then,
"Sure, Tom, right away."
The line switched over, someone coming up on screen.
Guy: "Y-ello? Oh, uh. Hi, Tom."
Tom: "We need to talk."
"About the..."
"You can't do this to us. We get the best rating throughout the entire network!"
"I know afew people who would argue you about that," the CEO said absently.
"Check the numbers, I'm right." Tom stated, crossing his arms. The other sighed,
"Alright, I'll level with you. Toonami is the best we got but we're having problems with the animé dubbing companies and show rights."
"So you cut half our shows." he put in.
"Yes... well. Look, we'll do what we can, but at the moment it's all up in the air, no pun intended." he said, trying to sound optimistic.
"There's no air up here," Tom replied, going to close the link.
"Hey, wait until September. Then ratings will rocket." the man said happily. Tom stopped, looking back at the screen,
"Wait. What's happening in September?"
"Sorry," the CEO waved, "Well, be seeing you." the link was cut from the Cartoon Network end. Tom sighed,
"They better get this straitened out..."
