QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Troubles are often the tools by which God fashions us
for better things."
--Henry Ward Beecher
VERSE OF THE
WEEK
"But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings
of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory
is revealed."
1 Peter 4:13
Just a little bit more about me... I've been a Christian
6 years, and I am from Montana. I have started my fifth semester at
Multnomah Bible College
in Portland, Oregon, and am 1 credit away from being a senior!
It's wonderful here at MBC. Any questions about Multnomah?
E-mail me and ask anything.
I love to fellowship with other Christians, surf the 'net, watch sunsets, take pictures (especially of the sunsets and my niece and nephew), listen to music, and bake sweets. Let's just say I could be a great candidate for president of "Chocoholics Anonymous." Or has
someone already founded that organization? :-) Anyhow, see
my two best
cookie recipes here, and if you're a fellow lover of chocolate, bookmark
Flora's Recipe Hideout. She's gathered over 900 chocolate recipes!
See my picture here.

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us..."
1 John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
John 3:16-17
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried,
that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,"
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the
Spirit,"
1 Peter 3:18
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 Corinthians 5:21
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided
purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
Hebrews 1:3
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:23-24
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10:9-10
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11-13

A wonderful poem by an unknown author...
Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, they may cheat you;
Be forthright anyway.
What you spent years building, they may destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
The good you do today, they often will forget tomorrow
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it will never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them, Anyway.
