Roping Your DreamsBootstraps I woke up, this day a lookin'. Smelling bacon and eggs a cookin'. Leaned over and pulled up on my old bootstraps. Remembering life, travlin those country road maps. Days I could hardly move a muscle. But then life can be such a hustle. Seems at times it get's caught in a blender. There are times we need that kiss so tender. Remembering those days by the old creek. At times feeling kind of antique. Years of sore back and tired hands. Has left it's trademark where this cowboy stands. Life can't always be a good deal. But pull up your bootstraps and see what you feel! Get another cup from the old coffee pot. You might just hit, that old jackpot. But until then life is what you make it. I better do my chorses and split. BY DW O Lord when the tip of the mountian touches the star. May your blessings come from afar. May in every home and heart, let friendship glow. May love be given and let it show. Let my fireside bring friends too. I will hold them close to my heart, they are so true. Give me strength and guide me tonight. Let my pony find it home by the moonlight. Amen by Dw Pull my saddle from the corral rail there. When I'm gone from here. Take me old saddle put it on me old pony Jim. Lead him out into the corral and let me go with him. Tie me old slicker on his back too. Turn him loose so I can take that ride do. We'll ride the mountains that we love best. Turn those cattle with the rest. Then slowly the day will pass me. Take my saddle and place it on the corral to see. Look at it, see the miles it has traveled here. Then hang it on the wall over there. For this COWBOY ride's another land. For I'm proud to be where I stand. BY DW It is about my book of poems coming out.
