COLD TEMP OPERATION

GUIDELINES

1. No moisture at storage and contact site(if in doubt heat handler to + 50 C and open the input magazine-to realease moisture)
2. Firmly close input magazine, cover the contact site and the contact cassete.
3. Check if LN2 tank is filled enough.
4. When handler is cooling, check again whether all climate area is closed and locked.
5. Check defrost equipment is swithched on(purging hot air). Defrost equipment is activated automatically when temperature of input mag and temp of contact site is less than +10 C.
6. Load only dry devices.
7. Activate defrost knob after cold temp operation and switch off LN2 switch.

After Cold Temp

1. Turn knob to defrost
2. Set to +70 C for 2 hrs.
3. If reaches 50 C input mag is to be opened.

Tubes at input mag on cold temp:

1. Right tube at input mag-----continuous flow of LN2 and can stabilize machine even if the left side is not purging, but will have to reach temperature longer.
2. Left tube at input mag is the purging of machine that will help stabilize temperature faster and will turn off when machine has reached its tempe- rature. The right side will be the one working throughout the production.
3. The contact site also purges.

MAJOR DOWN ENCOUNTERED

Date: May 6, 2000
Handler: MT8588 Problem1: Hang-up/Does not complete initialization process
Findings: defective Eprom of EPC SMOT(for feed shuttle)board.

Problem2: Upon power up handler displays"transmission to heating defect 90"
Action Done: Confirmed EPC Heat, Interconnection board, I/O board1 and CPU board to be all ok. Checked power supply to be ok.
Root Cause: Shorted input mag temp sensor to body of chamber.

Date: June 9, 2000
Handler: MT8588
Problem: Handler displays/shows "heating defect error 90"
Root Cause: Grounded +12 volts for the input mag temp sensor

Date: May 29, 2000
Place: FTI, Manila
Handler: MT8503-12-24/600mils
Problem: No start of Test receive by tester
Action Done: Confirmed settings on CP 42 and 86 to be OK. Confirmed interconnection board to be ok.
Rootcause: Isolate problem to be caused by the CPU board. Replace CPU board MTB and i/o Eprom and 2 mappers.

Date: April 18, 2000
Handler: MT8589
Problem1: ALL 3 loader gate LEDS are ON
Cause: Unloader boards 3 and 4 were interchanged

Problem2: Handler always shows error "sort shuttle not ready" just after power-up
Cause: Busted fuse for 5 phase Motor driver board for sort
