MTEST RULE 10 SPC
- PROPOSED PROJECT
- New Mtest SW to force handler to bin out tested device to correct bin regardless of jam occurence at contact site, say error 44.
- PURPOSE/ADVANTAGE
- Minimize, if not eliminate, the SPC rule 10 failure which is, Operator bin 1 count must match tester bin 1 count.
- RISK/DISADVANTAGE
- Poses great risk on quality issue in the form of testscape.
- The current scenario is that most operators just press thye start button of the handler when an error 44 happens. If the device is stuck in the contactor when the jam happens and start button was pressed, the handler assumes that the jammed device was removed. The handler then releases the device from the prestopper to the contact site. But since the jammed device was not actually removed, another error 44 happens and 2 devices are now in the contact site. Only at this point that most operators, including TE's remove the contact cassete. And since there are two devices in the contact site, it would be difficult to tell which one was tested and which one was not. And this proposed SW, it is a must that no tested device must be removed from the handler. So which device should we drop into the turn shuttle to save the lot?
- HELP NEEDED FROM THE MANUFACTURING GROUP IF PROJECT SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED:
- Mfg, group to follow strictly the SOP's in clearing jams at the contact site.
- SUGGESTION/ALTERNATIVE
- The current method right now to improve Rule 10 failures is by the use of the Lot Summary Report where actual tester bin1 count is also displayed. If this Lot Summary Report is to be removed from the testfloor, an alternative solution is possible using a control program on the handler that displays the tested bin1 counted by the handler.
- PROCEDURE:
- On the handler, set the following:
- Function Knob:CONTROL
- Tube Capacity:67
- Retest Bin: 01
- Soaktime:01
- Then press start button and bin 1 counted by the handler will be displayed.
- To quit this control program, press stop then return settings to previous which is:
- Function Knob:NORMAL
- Tube Capacity:
- Retest Bin: 00
- Soaktime: 00 for ambient and 30 for high/cold temp
