Thanks to the release of Rumble in the Bronx - and more recently Shanghai Noon and the Rush Hour films - in America, Jackie Chan is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Jackie Chan films are characterized not only by blistering fight scenes, but also by spectacular death-defying (often only just) stunts performed by the man himself. The inclusion of humour is one of the features that helped his films stand out back when he was still making traditional period Kung Fu films and persists in his more recent action films. His best films are those in which he is the writer and director as well as the star including the big three - Project A, Armour of God and Police Story.
