My Tango Album

Welcome to my online Tango Album. In 1998 I was asked to sing at the Koorenhuis (The Hague School of Art) Tango Orchestra, named "Del Mosa", after Hans van der Maas, the Leader. I said that I could give it a try, and after 3 rehearsals we went LIFE on the local radio station! It was quite exciting, but it went well. I'm still with the Orchestra, and I am still learning al lot about Tango.

My first Radio Performance

This picture was taken by Willeke Goedhart, a good friend who came to watch & listen to my first Tango performance. The performance was outdoors, it was quite cold, and it wasn't perfect, but it was fun to do. Our performance was actually placed between the performances of two famous Dutch Singers: Guus Meeuwes & Lee Towers.

Performance at the Koorenhuis

The Koorenhuis is the art school of The Hague. The Tango Orchestra Del Mosa is one of the courses they offer. Occasionally we have a performance "at home", in the auditorium of the School. This picture was taken by another good friend, Ellen Pulle.

Texel

Sometimes we travel with the Orchestra to give a performance in another part of the Country. My first one out of Town was in Tilburg, at a very nice bar with stage and dance floor, and there were actually people dancing Tango to our music! (Usually people just sit and listen). This was very special for us. Last October 1999 we went on a trip to Texel, one of the Islands in the Waddenzee, to perform at the Maartenhuis, a therapeutical centre. The Island is beautiful, and we thouroughly enjoyed our short stay (one night)there. I will surely go back there again, to spend some holidays.
