PSYCHOTHRUST is a hard rocking, heavy metal band formed in 1998 by four unique individuals bent on bringing their brand of heaviness to the world. In their time together they have had two cd releases, the first, a four song demo entitled PSYCHOTICTHRUST received widespread college airplay as well as being featured on the Los Angeles based Nasty Man show. Their second effort, a full length cd entitled PSYCHOTHRUST O*N*E was released in late 1999 and is rapidly proving to be just as hot if not hotter than its predecessor. PSYCHOTHRUST is proving to be a rising force on the music scene.
ERIC ( FREAK) SLEIGHT
Eric Sleight brings to PSYCHOTHRUST 10 years of vocal expertise, honed by professional coaching and forged in the fires of hell. Sleight brings with him a unique vocal style, influenced by the likes of Ian Gillan of Black Sabbath to Rob Halford of Judas Priest. With his powerful screams and his gut wrenching lows, not to mention a highly energetic stage presence Sleight is an integral part of the rising force of PSYCHOTHRUST. Sleight can often be seen "walking the plank" naked at the Rainbow Bar and Grill on the sunset strip under such aliases as Lemmy Kilmeister or Pauly Shore. PAT (SAK) SHEA
Pat Shea otherwise known as Sack, due to his overabundance of......SACK, a veteran guitar player of 19 years supplies the chunky, heavy, groovy guitar sound which has become the trademark of PSYCHOTHRUST. Some of Pats other musical projects have included Angeles and Sneak Attack. Pats musical influences vary from Neil Schon of Journey to Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. The Sackmeisters contribution to psychothrust is nothing less than stupendous. Look for the Sack at an upcomming show. One of Pats many hobbies include naked skydiving. note: with such an overabundance of sack, there is no parachute required. Quotable quote: My sack runneth over.
TOM ( CUZ IT ) NAVE
Tommy Nave is a veteran Bass player of 15 years. Formerly of the bands Black Starr and Retribution. With influences as diverse as The Doors and Static-x Tommy is a driving force behind the creative force known as PSYCHOTHRUST. Some of Tommy's spare time activities include, bungee jumping, cliff diving in Brazil as well as being the world record holder for the most hard boiled eggs swallowed whole in one sitting. JEFF ( THE MASTERMAKER) MESTERMAKER
Jeff Mestemaker has brought 17 years of drumming prowess with him to become the backbone of the PSYCHOTHRUST sound. Jeff also is the man behind the samples and trippy sounds you might here in the background of some of the PSYCHOTHRUST songs. Jeffs contribution to this band is highly recognizable in the beats and rhythms he creates on the skins. Some of his previous projects include Damaged Ego and Lord Metal. Jeffs passions include frequenting hollywoods many strip clubs, picking up the dancers, taking them home and.........playing Mozart to them on his piano.....naked!!!
