The Music Room and High School

The Rushville High School Music Department has been known for
many years as one of the premier music programs in the state of
Nebraska.  The high school band gained its notability in the late
1940's and was well known for concert and marching performances.
 The high school choir gained high credibility in the middle 1960's.
 The Rushville Public Schools was very fortunate to employ many
 outstanding music instructors throughout it's musical history,
and still maintains a full music curriculum and quality programs.

Rushville is located in the panhandle of western Nebraska,
the community being rich in musical tradition and talent.  The
Rushville Band participated in many band competitions "in state"
and "out of state," bringing home first place trophies and a great deal
of recognition to the school and community.  In the 1960's the
high school choir and select choir achieved high honors in competition
and public performances.  It is with these thoughts in mind that this
"music scrapbook" is dedicated to the students of Rushville High School.
It is hoped that these photographs will bring back pleasurable memories
to students past and be an inspiration to students present and future.
