 I'll keep it short and sweet. Creed's lyrics suck. They are meaningless; just words some moron wrote on paper because he needed a song to put on his meaningless record so that he could make money. Anything Creed writes that isn't total bullshit is just some cliche that every other top 40 rock band has already stated and reiterated to the point of nausea. I hate it when you Creed freaks come to my website and try to persuade me that Creed's lyrics are deep and poetic. I've used this example before and I will do it again: "I look at you, you look away, I see your soul, It's kind of gray..." This is the stupidest, most uninspired bunch of bullshit I've ever heard in a song, and the fact that these idiots try to pass it off as meaningful and inspiring poetry, as if we're all such idiots, pisses me off. Beck said it best, "You can't write if you can't relate." Creed is so busy trying to romance the masses and make money, that they completely leave out that part of the music where they actually express some actual sincere emotions that they have experienced. What does this result in? The worst lyrics any so called "rock band" has ever recorded. |
