It isn't unreasonable to say that the British music scene, at present, has slumped quite significantly. A claim supported by the fact that recently, for the first time in decades, there hasn't been a single UK artist in the US top 40. Can British music recover?

Well, let us hope so. However, if any UK artist is to once again make an impact on the US market that is anything close to the success enjoyed by the Beatles or Rolling Stones, things will have to change. The future success of British music, both at domestically and abroad, could depend on the discovery of bands with a fresh and original sound, irrepressible enthusiasm and a stylish image. Majika want to be a part of such a new wave of talent.
