BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Paraschiv Oprea, a Romanian folk music conductor and composer, has died, a public radio station said Monday. He was 67.
Oprea died late Sunday [21 March] after suffering a stroke. He had led the folk orchestra of the country's public television and radio station for the past 20 years and had won many awards for his work. - age 67.

Eva Liková Has Died at 84

SOUTHFIELD, Michigan (AP) — Former international opera star Eva Liková has died.
The Czech-born soprano died of complications of Alzheimer's disease in suburban Detroit on March 15, the University of Michigan, where Liková was professor emeritus. - age 84.
