So much has already happened this year, but the big news is that Shannon became a father on March 26th. Mandy and Shannon named their first-born, Jesse River and will be calling him River. Shannon explains where the name came from; "Jesse was my grandfathers last name and river is pretty much a metaphor for the way we look at life". Life is like a river. You can't swim against it and you don't want to just get across it. You want to go with it and see where it takes you".

We held a baby shower in the hospital room the day after River was born. Mandy and Shannon are so thankful to fan club members for their wonderful gifts. Mandy and baby are just fine and are happily adjusting to home life.

For those who have not heard, Shannon and MCA have parted ways and Shannon is working on new music. During the fan club party, Shannon performed several of his new songs, and they are just excellent. I am really looking forward to seeing a completed album which will include the songs that we were fortunate enough to hear.
