How far in advance should I book your services for my event?
We prefer formal events to be booked one to two months in advance. This allows us to have an in-person consultation regarding the details and any special needs for your event. Other gatherings such as school dances and private parties may be booked as little as three weeks in advance. It should be noted that dates are first-come, first-served and are secured upon receipt of your signed contract and deposit.
How much time will you need to set up before the start time of my event?
Ideally, we like to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the actual start time of your event. This allows us ample time to setup and test our equipment so the music is playing as the earliest guests arrive.
How will you dress for my event?
From black tie to casual, it's your choice. We will wear formal attire at no extra charge. For informal or theme events, we will make every reasonable attempt to accommodate your code of dress.
What type of equipment do you use?
Today, nearly all DJ companies claim to use 'top of the line equipment', but very few have invested nearly as much in their gear as we have. We are a cut above the best with our new Mackie Active System, the Mackie active speakers are the newest in technology with their built in amps, and our powerful Mackie active sub adds surpurbly to sound. Also, we use the newest model vocal pro CD players and vocal pro voice mixer. We also offer professional karaoke CD burning that you can keep for your own private collection or burn as a gift for that someone special near or far.
Are you equipped to play any music formats other than CDs?
We can play any CD's, in addition, we play CDG's for karaoke, if you have special music that we can't get, we would be happy to accommodate you by playing it.
Will you honor requests?
We make every attempt to honor all requests. At each event we will provide a complete, printed listing of the music that we have on-hand for your guests to choose from. Additionally, if you or your guests would like to hear music that you/they have brought with them, we will play those as well.
How do I get Music In Motion to perform at my Party or Event?
We can be
contacted via telephone or E-mail anytime. If you choose to contact us via E-mail please be sure to include the date of your event and type of event that it is (e.g. school dance, prom, club, etc.) and a phone number where we can contact you. We will make every effort to get back to you within 24 hours. After discussing various details, such as crowd size, duration ,location, special effects or events, etc., we can offer a price quote. If the price quote is agreeable to you, we can e-mail/fax/mail you a copy of our standard written agreement. Upon our receipt of your signed agreement and deposit, your booking date will be guaranteed.
