TODD ROLLINS & HIS ORCHESTRA

TODD ROLLINS AND HIS ORCHESTRA
1934-1935, Volume I

[Yes - Virginia - there really was a Todd Rollins and he really led a band, aparently based in New Jersey. However, not all of the records released as by Todd Rollins are, in fact, actually by that band - John Leifert believes "that most of these dates are actually by the Gene Kardos band, or by some of its members with other musicians." Additionally, some sessions by the Rollins band (or Rollins-Kardos band, or whatever it was) were released under Chick Bullock's name. This two-CD set includes every item of possible Rollins relevance. - Sir Toastalot]
