Welcome to my Masters of the Martial Arts Millennium Exihibition Pictures. This was the 3rd annual ceremony and it was held on Januray 29, 2000. The event was hosted by Grandmaster Abdul Hakim Bilal, he was assisted by his lovely wife Dawn Marie, Sensei Carlos Ampudia,Sr., myself (Prof. A. Echevarria PH.D./MA,Soke) and many others.
This years event was extremely successful! In attendance were many great martial artists including GM Reno Morales who was the guest of honor, GM Papasan Canty, GM George Crayton, GM Jonathon Stewart, Chief GM Rico Guy, GM Eugene Floyd, GM Tharayana Sastranegara, GM Allah Freedom, Shihan Manny Levin, Shihan Earl Woodbury, Sifu Luis Morales, Master Derick Williams, Master Victor Rodriquez, Master Little Katana and many others.
Grandmaster Bilal is hoping to hold next years event in a more spacious and comfortable setting since there was such an astounding turn out in this years event. It is still in the planning stages but so far it has been decided that it will be a more formal affair. Details with be coming soon!!!
In Memorium: GM Ron Jeter was to be in attendance but as you may or may not know he passed away leaving a great void that will not soon be filled, he will be missed by all of us. This is a great loss to our martial arts community. We held a short vigil in honor of all the great martial artists that have dedicated their lives to the growth of the martial arts.
