K.T., front-man for the storm, is a native texan who recalls listening to the Beatles around age 5 and pretending to be "Paul"!! the next major influence on K.T. was the high energy (8-track tape!!) Deep Purple, "Made in Japan". it was made for "MAXIMUM VOLUME!!!!" He soon discovered his immense love for heavy metal music. Other influences are Led Zeppelin, Rush, UFO and Queensryche.
After a few forrays in high school "buddy bands" he joined up with Mr. Dillard in their first band "The Attack" around 1984. The band played several clubs in DFW but the chemistry wasn't there, and soon broke up. After a short stint with "Legend" and countless other endeavors, he formed "Magan". "Magan" played the metroplex for over 10 years before calling it quits in 1997. Says K.T. "loved the extra time I got to spend with my kids and thought I could do without music for awhile, but I was going stir-crazy!" After 5 months of "domestic tranquility", his wife Barbara told him to find another band or a hobby, so he called on longtime friend David. and the rest is the future for Tornado Alley. |
