Afeni Shakur - 2Pac's Mother
Afeni was in prison while pregnant with Tupac. Afeni was a member of the Black Panther Party. She was in prison for a plot to bomb banks and department stores. She was released from prison 2 months before she gave birth to Tupac at the age of 22. Tupac found out Afeni was taking drugs while on tour with Digital Underground in 1989. Tupac was very close to his mother. He wrote a song for her in jail, which would become the grammy nominated song, Dear Mama. Since Tupac's death, Afeni has handled his estate, music and his Legacy amongst other things. Now a days Afeni is busy releasing Tupac's music under Amaru Records, a record company she set up after he died.

Assata Shakur - 2Pac's Aunt
Tupac's aunt Assata Shakur, dubbed the "soul" of the Black Liberation Army, is arguably the most famous member of the Shakur Family. Currently living in Cuba. In a highly controversial case she was convicted of murder in a shoot-out on the New Jersey State Turnpike in 1973. An officer and Tupac's uncle, Zayd Shakur, were both killed. The third person in the vehicle, Sundiata Acoli, has served 20 years of her sentence and has been denied parole for another 20. Assata was shot in the back, taken to the hospital and tortured while questioned. She had a broken clavicle and a paralyzed arm. Despite the fact that forensic evidence showed that she had not fired a weapon, she was sentenced to life + 33 years in prison. Assata escaped from prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba where she is living now under a grant of asylum from the government of Fidel Castro. There are currently campaigns to free Sundiata Acoli and prevent the US's attempt to extradite Assata from Cuba. You can find lots of information on her around the internet and several books have been written on her as well.

Billy Garland - 2Pac's Biological Father
While Afeni was a member of The Black Panther Party she met fellow member Billy Garland. I am not sure if they had a relationship, but they produced a child. All through Tupac's childhood he was told that his biological father was dead. Billy Garland completely dissappeared from Tupac's life when he was about 5 and didn't see him until Tupac appeared in the movie Juice. When Tupac was shot in late 1994, Billy visited him in hospital and that was the first time Tupac saw his real father in physical form since he was very young. Tupac was very shocked because he thought that his father was dead so I don't think he believed that this man was his real father at the time. When Tupac died Billy showed up again trying to sue Afeni for half of Tupac's estate but he was denied. It ended up in Billy recieving over $500,000 along with $350,000 in legal fees.

Geronimo Pratt - 2Pac's God Father
Geronimo Pratt is a convicted member of the Black Panther Party. He was recently released from prison after serving 27 years of a 25 years-life sentence. He was imprisoned for allegedly murdering a school Teacher in L.A. He was released because their was evidence brought to surface suggesting that he had no involvment in the murder.

Katari Cox - 2Pac's Cousin
Katari Cox is son of Afeni's sister Glo. He grew up in New York. Katari is a member of The Outlawz were he goes by the name Kastro. He first appeared on a Tupac track in 1995 when he was a member of Dramacydal. He appeared on the track Outlawz. Katari visited Tupac all of the time when Tupac was in prison and was recruited as one of the original members of The Outlawz.

Legs - 2Pac's Father Figure
Legs had a relationship with Afeni and was present during most of Tupac's childhood. Legs was deep into drugs and got Afeni introduced to crack. Some say he was once affiliated with the legendary New York drug kingpin, Nicky Barnes. Legs was sent to prison in the mid 1980s for credit card fraud. When Afeni moved her family to Baltimore she learned that Legs died of a heart attack induced by crack. Tupac was affected by the death of Legs. He said that it really fucked him up. Tupac called legs his daddy and he lost him. Tupac later said that the "Thug" in Tupac came from Legs. (The picture above may not be Legs, but I think it is because Legs was living in Tupac's home at that time of Tupac's life)

Maurice Harding aka Mopreme Shakur - 2Pac's Step Brother
Step Brother of Tupac. He was a member of the group Thug Life as Mopreme and also featured in some songs a member of The Outlawz, his alisas was Komeni. In 1992 he was arrested when a 6 year old was shot dead in the middle of a shoot out with a rival gang, but Harding was released due to a lack of evidence, Tupac was also involved in this incident.

Mutulu Shakur - 2Pac's Step Father
Mutulu Shakur's brother Lumumba was married to Afeni. When Lumumba died he got together with Afeni and they got married. Mutulu and Tupac had a good relationship. When Tupac was depressed as a young man, Mutulu gave him some good advice. Mutulu was convicted for his involvement in a 1981 armored car robbery. It left two policeman and a brinks guard dead. He is now serving time in prison in Florence, Colorado.

Yafeu Fula - 2Pac's Half Brother/God Brother
Not much people knew that Yafeu Fula was Tupac's half brother when they were alive. The Outlawz revealed it when Tupac and Yafeu died. It is believed that Tupac and Yafeu had the same father (William Garland). They were very close from childhood. Tupac was also Yafeu's god brother. Yafeu Fula is also known as Kadafi. He was a memeber of The Outlawz. Yafeu was killed 2 months after Tupac in an accident at a house party. He was only 19.

Yafeu Fula - Lumumba Abdul Shakur - 2Pac's Step Father
Lamumba Abdul Shakur was Afeni's first husband. He was a Black Panther member and the lead defendant in the Panther 21 case where he and 20 others, including Afeni, were convicted for allegedly plotting to blow up banks and department stores. He was found dead in Louisiana several days before Mutulu was arrested. Mutulu suspected that Lumumba was murdered by someone (perhaps a police informant) who learned of Mutulu's whereabouts and decided to kill two birds with one stone.

Sekyiwa Shakur - 2Pac's Half Sister
Sekyiwa is Tupac's half sister and grew up with him. Her father is Tupac's step father, Mutulu Shakur. She is currently living with 2 children, Malik and Nzingha. Both of these children's father is EDI from The Outlawz.

Zayd Shakur - 2Pac's Uncle
Sekyiwa is Tupac's half sister and grew up with him. Her father is Tupac's step father, Mutulu Shakur. She is currently living with 2 children, Malik and Nzingha. Both of these children's father is EDI from The Outlawz.
