JEEP OF ENGLAND
AMC Jeep, in its quest for a global market for its vehicles, exported vehicles to England from the 1970s to the present day. This resulted in some very interesting local vehicles, such as the Cherokee Florida, which is featured on this page. Also, some of the Jeeps being shipped to Iran in 1970 were redirected to England because of the revolution, where many were converted into unique 6-wheeled fire engines.
In 1980, a special England Market Jeep was made called the Florida Special. If you bought this vehicle or any other FSJ, you got to spend a week every year in Florida until 2020! So, someone who bought one of these vehicles could very well be in Florida right now! Strangely, when mentioning the Jeep J20, it says J20/J46. Was the J46 another pickup variant? If you have any info, please see the info needed page.

If you click on the link above, you will see a picture of one of the 6 wheeled fire engines made from two Iranian-spec J20s. These were sold to England due to the revolution in Iran.
Here is another one of those Jeep J20 6x4 conversions. However, this one is a 1984 model, so I doubt that it is an Iranian-spec model, but instead one that was imported into the UK. It was used by the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for major car crashes and contained a large amount of special equipment to assist the victims. Note the strange black "hood scoops" on the vehicle. Surprisingly, this beast got about 20 MPG!
