"I've got all the respect in the world for the Garner baseball program right now. Those guys can just flat-out play." - Will Brinson, Post 39 Pitcher
"If I’m going to lose, I’d rather lose to a classy team like this. I’m glad they’re representing the state of North Carolina in the regionals." - Josh Cobb, Post 100
NEW!! Well, it's about time to start up a new season of Post 232 baseball. The new schedule has been added (click here). First game is May 15, @ Wilson. First home game is May 17, vs. Kinston.
NEWS: Congratulations to Lee Kimball, Post 232's short stop, accepted a baseball scholarship to NC State Universty. Lee will be the third player from Post 232 to leave for NC State. Jamie Shearin played for Garner last summer, and David Hicks committed to NCSU this summer. David and Lee both will finish their High School career at Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. David and Lee should both be back next summer for Post 232 and another run at the state title. Congrats guys!
The summer is gone, Pro Baseball is over (Even the Yankees are finished), but Post 232 Baseball is still alive. Even though the season ended a few months ago..you can still picture Post 232 in action. And you can still bring back all the memories the 1999 team left you with. I will always remember this team and I am sure all of you will too. After being 14-13 the last week of the season and nobody was sure if we would even make it to the playoffs, the team stuck together and everyone was a believer. I'll miss you guys. Good luck in college and high school....and let's repeat as the state champs next summer!
ITS THE HAIR, right guys? Garner Post 232 Coaches, and most players, dyed their hair blonde to show team spirit for the playoffs.
