Dayi Daoxin
Dayi Daoxin (Tao-yi Tao-h’sin, Daii Doshin), 580-651. The Thirty-Second Ancestor, the Fourth Chinese Ancestor. He taught for thirty years at Mount Shuangfeng (West Mountain) where his Community numbered around 500. His Teaching style emphasized not only zazen and the shingi but sutra study and recitation of the name of Amitabha Buddha. See Denkoroku Chapter 31.
