Help us welcome Jerry The Plumber to our Chamber Membership! We are excited to extend a very warm welcome to Mr. Jerry Todd, a licensed and insured plumber who resides in Tabor City. He would love to hear from you regarding service calls, remodels, or new construction. Stay tuned for Ribbon cutting info. Keep in mind that memberships are available for individuals, as well as businesses. GTC Chamber of Commerce is honored to consist of individual members that we call Associate Members, as well as, business/merchant members, and industries/corporations, etc. Please give us a call and we will take you a membership application package or have one ready for you to stop by and pick up. Don’t forget that Saturday, March 24 is the date of the annual Easter Egg Hunt and mini Kids Fest. This event will be held at Tabor City Elementary School and will begin at 10:00 a.m. Please bring your children, with their baskets, and expect a fun-filled morning! The Easter Bunny will be the guest of honor at the Easter Egg Hunt and mini Kids Fest. Train rides, bounce houses, and games will be offered at minimal fee. The Stallionettes will be offering free face painting. Mt. Tabor Manna’s Chef in a Truck will be selling sno cones and funnel cakes. The Chamber will be selling hot dogs and soft drinks. Thank you to Columbus County Parks and Recreation for sponsoring the Easter Egg Hunt and thank you goes to First Bank for sponsoring the mini Kids Fest. The rain date is Saturday, March 31. The Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce supports our local businesses and service organizations which are an important component to the success of our community. They contribute year-round to various civic endeavors, school projects, and community events in the greater Tabor City area so please shop local. We would love to help the community learn more about our Chamber Members. Give us a call to share your achievements with us, so we can spread the good news. The 2018 NC Yam Festival President/Manager is Rachel Todd. Rachel would love to hear from you. Her office hours are 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Chamber building. Call the Ritz Center Manager, Dianne Nobles Ward, at 910-653-4141. Her office is inthe Tabor City Visitor Center at 301 East Fifth Street. Friday, March 30 is the opening ceremony date of Market on Live Oak. The Bringing Back Main Committee is working hard and Market on Live Oak is just one way they plan to make a mark on downtown Tabor City. For more information, please call Pam Byrd at 910-625-7974.
