Chapter 8

Andy scanned the isles for B.J. and finally spotted her. She walked back out into the hall and looked around for Nick. He came walking out of a theater a couple of doors down, "I found them." Andy whispered loud enough for Nick to hear her. Nick walked past her and thru the door. Andy just looked at it, "Oh thanks Andy for being a blabber mouth, and for finding myself. No problem Nick, anytime." She huffed and walked in after him.

On entering the dark theatre she looked around for Nick but didn't see him anywhere. She began walking down the isle and then was suddenly jerked into a chair, "Watch it, they are gonna see you." Nick hissed in her ear.

She glaired at him, "If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here!" she hissed back.

Nick watched Jason as he slipped his arm around B.J. and almost came out of his seat. B.J. grabbe his arm and pulled him back down in his seat, and shook her head. Nick only glared at her and continued to watch his sister.

When the movie was over Nick went to get up, but Andy stopped him, "Don't, she'll see us."

Nick glanced up and saw B.J. walking by them. He turned Andy around and kissed her. Andy was shocked and froze as Nick kissed her, she finally jerked away, "Don't you ever do that again."

"She was going to see us." Nick said in his defense.

"I don't care." With that Andy got up and walked ou, with Nick right behind her.

The ride hom was made in silence. Nick knew he had crossed the line by kissing Andy, but he had to admit to himself that he rather enjoyed it. As he pulled up and parked in the driveway he turned off the engine, "Andy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything by it..."

Andy looked at him, it was one thing for him to kiss her, and then say it didn't mean anything, "Forget about it." She got out of the car and walked inside.

Nick sighed, he was only trying to be her friend, and now he only now he had hurt her feelings, "What a way to start out, Carter." He chided himself as he got out of the car to go inside.

B.J. sat on the bed with a huge grin on her face as she told Andy about the date, "...it was so sweet, and then when he dropped me off he kissed me and asked me out for next Friday night after the football game." She giggled, "Oh Andy, you have to meet him!" She stopped, "Wait! You'll meet him Monday at school, maybe he can hook you with one of him football friends. That would be so cool."

Andy nodded and smiled at B.J.'s excitement, "Are you not going to that shoot in Orlando Friday afternoon?"

B.J.'s smile faded, "Oh, I forgot about that! Do you think we can make it back in time for the game?"

"We can try."

Just then someone knocked on the door, "Andy, I..." Nick trailed off as he saw B.J., "Hey, how did the date go?"

B.J. looked at Andy and then at Nick, "It went okay."

"Nick nodded, "Good, umm Andy, can I talk to you for a minute?"

B.J. looked at Andy, trying to read something in her expression, but Andy gave nothing away, "Sure."

B.J. just sat there and watched as Andy got out and followed her brother out of the room, "What is going on here?" She asked the empty room.

Nick walked out the back door and stood on the porch. He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked at Andy, who was standing beside him, "Thank you for telling me where they went"

Andy shrugged, "No problem." Gabriel walked up and Andy knelt down to pet him.

"I'm sorry, about what happend."

"Andy burried her face in Gabriel's think hair on the saide of his neck and sighed, "That's okay, I shouldn't have over reacted."

"I shouldn't have kissed you without asking."

"Well, that's true."

Nick's mouth fell open, "Hey, I'm trying to apologize here."

Andy laughed, "Well, I'm just agreeing with you."

"So, I'm still on your good side?"

Andy got up and smiled, "I guess."
