Our 7-ply,INDUCTION-READY, surgical stainless steel waterless cookware set was made specifically for induction cooking. Of course, this does not mean that you can't use it on ceramic, gas, or electric stoves if you so choose. The manufacturer began making waterless cookware in 1950, and history has proven that this set above to be high quality and a long lasting investment. The Ultra set is different from most waterless cookware sets in that it contains a specific construction of surgical stainless steel. This construction means that the set can be used on an induction, magnetic cook-top stove.
NOTE: The "Phenolic Handles" which are on all our sets with non-metal handles are tested up to 350F degrees
and can be used on a gas stove, but should not be used with extremely high temperatures when using an
open flame. An open flame on a gas stove 'can' reach up to 608°F.

Our 304 Surgical Stainless Steel Maxam Waterless Cookware Set is identical to our most expensive waterless set, the Steam Control System, KT17ULTRA, except it does not have the carbon steel in the construction which is there only for use on a magnetic, induction-top stove. The manufacturer also gave it a different brand name in order to show an obvious difference. The pieces are the same and the pots are all the same size as the ULTRA set.
