  1. Sovereign Grand Master
  2. The highest office in the Allied Masonic Degrees is Sovereign Grand Master. The office carries with it the automatic conferral of the rank and title of Knight Grand Cross. 3. Knight Grand Cross
  4. The highest honor within the gift of the Grand Council is that of Knight Grand Cross, with which every Sovereign Grand Master must be invested before he takes office. It was first conferred upon the twenty-one founders of Grand Council and afterwards on leading foreign brethren and our own outstanding members. The number of active Knights Grand Cross is limited to ninety and nine (99) members of Grand Council, and twenty, and seven (27) honorary Knights Grand Cross (Honoris Causa) of other Jurisdictions. The jewel of a Knight Grand Cross is a multi-pointed star, having a green Maltese cross superimposed thereon, with a white circular center containing an orange enameled square and compasses intertwined with a red Saltire cross, with the letters "SR COLL GRAD LAT ET CHRIST JUXTA" around the inner edge in gold; and a gold border around the circular center containing the letters "KNIGHT GRAND CROSS GRAND COUNCIL AMD USA" in black. The holder of this distinction may use the post-nominal KGC after their signature.
