NEWS FLASH!!! HUNTERS TABLE & TAVERN IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR BUSINESS. THE ONLY THING THAT IS THERE ARE PART OF THE WALLS. DUE TO A FIRE ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH 2004. THE FIREMEN DID ALL THEY COULD. THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO DO BUT WATCH IT BURN. WE THANK THE FIREMEN FOR THEIR EFFORTS THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY TO SAVE THE BUILDING. IT IS A GREAT LOSS TO THE COMMUNITY OF RHAME.

Five Years and a Day

I am sorry my sister for the losses you have had

I am sure you feel in this life you have been bad

Trust me sis that is not the reason,your heart has no comparison.

Your saying is always, well it is meant to be

Now that it has happened to you, it is hard to believe.

The town of Rhame, woke up the morning after

Hoping it was a dream, it just couldn’t be true

As we opened up our doors to smell fresh air

We smelled smoke, that is when we knew

That the day after, would bring no laughter.

Hunters Table and Tavern was no longer there

Now we just have the memories to share.

September 8th 2004 we watched your life

burn up in flames,

The firefighters fought to the end of the game

It was a fire, they just could not tame.

With tears in their eyes they came to you

We are sorry Donna there is no more we can do

They shook your hand and gave you a hug

Then walked away with their heads hung low.

It was just a business people say.

Somewhere to get drunk

Eat and play.

Well let me tell you, it was not

It was a life my sister fought

The only thing she had,

Since she stopped being a wife.

On September 7th 1999, her husband said good-bye

Cancer has won, he said with a tear in his eye,

I am tired, I want to rest was his reply.

So people look at the years and do the math

This is why she believes this is God’s wrath.

She don’t deserve this and that’s the truth

This is a pic of Hunters Table & Tavern. Sorry about the color of the picture but it's two pictures put together, due to the size of the building the only way I could have gotten the entire building on one shot was to stand on top of the building across the parking lot and well, I'm afraid of heights so there went that idea.
