I have been hooked on Morgans since I was first introduced in 1987. I have owned horses since 1980, buying my first Morgan in 1988. The METIGOSHE name was founded in 1999, and currently I have three Morgans: Prairie Hill Peaches, Roycan's Sir Alex and Metigoshe Princess Laila.

Metigoshe (Met-a-go-she) is a Native American name that means clear lake surrounded by many trees. We have a summer cabin at Lake Metigoshe which is only 6 miles from our home here in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota. We are located just south of the Canadian border on 40 acres.

I earned my Associates in Applied Science degree in Equine Science from the University of Minnesota - Crookston in 1988. When I'm not busy with my Morgans, I'm with my beloved family: my hubby Mark (a third generation Chiropractor) and our four kids, Marissa (10), Logan (7 1/2), Braden (5) and Nolan (3). We also have some other furry critters that reside here; Samson our Golden Retriever, and an orange tabby we call Punkin. When I have any spare time left over I have a small at-home jewelry business selling a variety of items that are made from Emerald Obsidianite. This green gemstone comes from the Mt. My research in Morgan bloodlines and in breeding is fairly recent - having raised my first foal in 1999. Personally, I prefer the hunt, sport horse and old western types but love a good Morgan in any discipline.

This year, my mare had a foal, Metigoshe Princess Laila, by DJJJ Ebony Gold - a black 16+ hand Morgan stallion from MD.  I am cutting back my horse breeding program, as I just do not have the time to dedicate to the horses that they deserve.
