The Chasseurs are an historical re-enactment light cavalry unit that recreate the cavalry of the Napoleonic period, both as French and as British.

The French units are Le Premier Régiment de Chasseurs à Cheval de la Ligne, which is line light cavalry, and the 3eme Hussards.  The British units are the 18th Light Dragoons/ 18th Hussars (this unit converted to Hussars in 1808) or the 3rd Dragoons.

Members of the unit can fight mounted or dismounted as all troopers carry carbines as well as sabres, and there is a dismounted troop for those who do not wish to ride.
