This was the first official anime costume I made. I sewed everything myself--thankfully it was almost all with a machine. ^_^ The unofficial costume was a Rei Ayanami that I threw together for a halloween party.
Here is the costume's debut at Akon 2000.
I wore the same costume at Anime Expo 2001, (this time it's my real hair, it was too long for the wig-- sadly the humidity made it ultra frizzy). My hair was red from my Asuka costumes. ^_^)
Hisashi Abe, character designer for Yohko 2 & 3 (which were in my opinion, the best of the 4 styles- 1, 2&3, 5, 6) loved my costume, and had his picture taken with me. Please email me at ryoko@ninja-mail.com if you have a copy of one of those photos!
