- HOW DID YOU FIRST GET STARTED IN ACTING?
I was involved in music theatre as a child all the way up until collage. I took singing and dance for over 10 years and was a perfomer in chorus, dance teams, drill teams, and in drama at high school. I also majored in drama for over 2 years at UNT.
- WHAT DREW YOU TO DO VOICE OVER WORK?
I have always been a mimic, even as a young child I would carry around a tape recorder and mimic all I would record. I always loved the voices I would hear on TV and radio, and with my wacky imagination would make up my own voices and use them for comedic response.
- HOW DID YOU GET SIGNED ON WITH FUNIMATION?
I auditioned for the DBZ roles back in January of 1999. I met the producer through other voice work I was doing in 1997. I was singing on some themes for Funimation and expressed interest in voice work.
- WHAT DID YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR VERSION OF GOHAN DIFFERENT FROM THAT IN THE PREVIOUS DUB DONE BY THE OCEAN GROUP?
I have never heard the other Gohan's voice. I started from scratch and Funimation liked it.
- HOW DID TRY TO DO YOUNG GOKU DIFFERENT FROM GOHAN?
I went for a higher pitched, more chipper sound in my voice. Left all the raspiness for Gohan.
- WHY DIDN'T YOU GET THE PART OF YOUNG GOTEN?
Funimation felt that my rendition of Goten would sound too much like Gohan.
- ARE YOU SIGNED ON TO DO THE YOUNG GOKU IN DRAGONBALL GT?
Yes. I am.
- WHAT OTHER ROLES ARE YOU PLANNING ON DOING?
None that I know of yet. I audition when I can. I am the voice of the tournament announcer on Yu Yu Hakusho. I also was the voice of Baby Trunks and East Kai, as well as other bit parts here and there.
- TELL US ABOUT YOUR SINGING CAREER.
I sang professionally with Vince Vance and the Valiants for 10 years from 1991 to 2001. I was the group's lead singer as well as costumer, choreographer, and recruiter. I shared the stage with Ronnie Milsap, Vanessa Williams, Harry Connick Jr., Chubby Checker, Huey Lewis, KC and the Sunshine Band, The Four Tops, The Spinners, and many others. I am currently the lead female vocalist for the Dallas-based R&B soul and jazz group: The Bulletproof Brass consisting of ten pieces including a full horn section. I also sing and record regularly with Brave Combo, a Grammy Award winning Polka band from Denton, TX. I have completed an album with their founder Carl Finch entitled the Cookies. I also write, produce, and perform comedic parodies for radio and other projects.
- WHAT OTHER ACTING ARE YOU DOING?
I am currently working on voice work for radio spots and promotions, as well as studio vocals for albums and other artists. I am also hoping to record children's and pop albums in the near future. I love my fans!
