Once a year a bunch of airboaters make a
trip to Columbus NE. As you travel upstream you meet other boats and stop for a
chat, food and drink. This turned what is normally a 1 1/2 hr ride into a 6 hr
trip. The picture below is the 2nd sandbar we stopped at on the "98" Columbus
Run
Well we finally made it. I think we counted 57 Airboats made the trip. We parked along
the bank in the shade (not so far to walk to the Hotel) and there were quite a
few more parked under the bridge I was standing on to take this picture.
Better late then never!!
