These are just interesting facts about the Final Fantasy Series that might interest you in some way or another.
judging from my poll question "Do you know where the word Sephiroth comes from?", the results was about 50% that knew it and 50% didn't. But however, I think some of the 50% that voted yes, either mis-understood the question or just voted yes for the hell of it. But I will explain where that name comes from.
The word "sephiroth" comes from a reglious system known as "The Sephirothic System of Ten Divine Names", also known as "The Tree of Life". This system is Hebrew and is very hard to comprehand because of the complexity of it's meaning. However on a basic explainaton, The Sephirothic system is composed of 10 circles linked by 22 paths. It shows the route of how a human can attain the highest possible spiritual level. Many other intrepertations say that it's a step by step diagram for meditation, a map that shows the way to wisdom, or a prediction for Mankinds' future.
How does this relate to the Sephiroth that we all know from Final Fantasy VII? That I can't answer because there may be tons of possibilities, but if you think about it, like what was Sephiroth trying to do? you may see some similarities between the purpose of the diagram to himself.
Here is a diagram of howThe Sephirothic System of Ten Divine Names looks like.
FF Tactics, to me is a great game, second to Final Fantasy VII. This game has a near perfect storyline and the characters development is extrodinary. Gameplay and plot are also unique and different, and that's why there is something that all Final Fantasy Tactic owners should know. As of some time ago, Square stopped all production on this game, so what, you ask? Well since they did, this game is know considered "rare". meaning it's impossible to find in stores and even if you do find a copy, it'll be used. As of currently, this game is worth about $100 even more of less. So FFT owners, if you have that game, keep it! It'll probably be worth even more some time later. Also along with FFT, FF Anthology is also becoming a rare and production of that has either stopped or is going to soon.
The creature Bahamut is actually a Monsterous fish that comes from Moslem traditions. The legend goes that it floats in a vast sea. A Giant bull rides on its back and on the bull is a Ruby Mountain. There is an angel on the mountain over which are 6 hells then Earth and the 7 heavens. The bahamut is so huge and dazzling that human beings cannot look upon it.

Chinese Origin of Bahamut
It was said by the chinese that Bahamut was a great dragon that carried a fish that carried a turtle. That turtle then balanced the world.
