Engine:motor.jpg (184863 bytes)
The engine of the Prospect is a Volvo-penta MD7A diesel. The cooling system is with seawater. In the winter the engine can freeze, so you should let the water out. I always remove the thermostat and put the waterinlet in a bucket with antifree. Then I let the engine run, until the antifreeze comes out of the exhaust.

The toilet of this ship is a RM69. In holland you can buy one at every nautical shop. It is flushed with outside water, so you should tap it. There is a stop on the bottom, where you can let the water out. I myself always fill it with antifreeze, to be shure every hoise is protected.

Ventilation:
Ventilation is in my ship a problem. I have enormous amounts of condensation and leaking water in my accomodation. I always use "moisture extenguisers" These work pretty good, but I still have lots of water in the ship.

   Ready for winter
