Las Primeras is an independent, all volunteer, organization dedicated to raising funds for charities that serve the changing needs of our community. Founded in 1950, Las Primeras is a philanthropic organization of approximately 35 active members. The group is highly supported by associate and patron memberships, as well. Las Primeras is dedicated not only to supplementing the needs of children's charities and agencies in our community, but also extending our assistance to individuals or groups with immediate needs. The recipients of our philanthropic endeavors are selected annually. In the past decade, Las Primeras has disbursed over one half million dollars to San Diego agencies. All money raised by Las Primeras goes directly to our beneficiaries. |
| Las Primeras organizes special events throughout the year. In the past, we have hosted fashion shows, themed dinners, luncheons, raffle and silent actions. Both individuals and corporations can support Las Primeras through underwriting events, attending fundraisers, or contributing monetarily, as well as in-kind gifts. It is through collaboration with these contributors that we are able to financially assist many community agencies, which rely on outside funding. It has been our priveledge to support many worthwhile organizations and agencies such as those listed in the table below. We encourage you to partner with Las Primeras in our efforts to support our community. |
