What would Ryoko be without a rivalry?(perhaps Mrs. Tenchi Masaki...) Ryoko and Ayeka compete for the heart of Tenchi constantly. Where Ryoko depicts the modern woman, Ayeka is the representation of the humble, quiet Ancient Japanese woman.
Ayeka is the Jurai princess. Being a little stuck up and quite agressive, Ayeka is the perfect rival for Ryoko. Ayeka is calm, contemplative and quiet. And although Ryoko and Ayeka fight quite often, there are no two characters that make a better team (when they're not fighting.)
