I belive that all hamsters should be remembered after they pass on. That is why I have created this page. Here you can get obituaries posted and read the hamster obituaries posted by others. That way your special friend will always be remembered! Obviously the more obituaries posted here means more losses of our special friends, and I'm very sorry about that, but thank you all so much for contributing!

Pearl's litter was born on December 11, 1999 & died on the same day. It was Pearl's first litter and I didn't even get to see them, except the one I saw getting eaten. They will be missed, but I hope for better next litter.
Pearl's new litter was born December 31, 1999. There were six babies & we were able to rescue three of them from the jaws of there own mother on January 8, 2000. However, we were too late for the hamsters we called "old pinky"(a dilute platinum) "hey there's that other pretty one"(a dilute platinum) & "oh that's the one that will look like his/her dad"(a platinum black). I have hope for Larry, Curly & Moe(the three 10 day olds I rescued), lets hope they don't end up on this page until they have lived a long happy life.
He was my favorite. I knew he was going to die when he started walking around real slow. Then he buried himself under the shavings and wouldn't come out. I miss him alot, I love you bugs!
Budda was a chubby one. He always looked tired. I had no idea he was going to die until he did, I was seven. We took him to the vet but he didn't make it. I was devastated for monthes. He was so cute and alive, then he just keeled over and died. I'm sorry he did but I will never get another hamster. I'll never forget you Budda!
I named my hamster Stump because she had a stump like tail and I bought her a tree stump house for her to live in. I played with her every day. I took care of her, really good. I miss you stump....and I'll never forget you. :(
Flip was getting old when I left for overnight camp, I had no idea he was in the condition to die what so ever. When I arrived home on June 5, 1997 he had passed on RIP Flip I Love you!
Lily was a dwarf hamster who passed away on August 8, 2000. She was such a joy, my best little friend. She made direct eye contact with me and we would often sit gazing into each others eyes. She loved to play in her freedom ball and "drove" it quite well! She also love to play hand dodge and always wanted a bite of whatever I was eating!! Lily lived approximately 1 year and 5 months, and it was a special gift that I was able to share in her life from beginning to end. Lily had a very lovely burial in Washington Square Park in NYC.
I got my hampters when she was a baby she had abot 3 liters of babys and lived for 2 1/2 years I miss her a lot
My dear hamster Mocha died on August 29, 2000. She was about 1 3/4 years old. I miss her emmensly, and i hope she is in peace.
Hazel and Princess Hope are best of friends; they even joined each other in death. They are two of the cutest and most lovable hamsters we ever owned. Poor Hazel got to join the other syrians for only four days while Princess Hope for only 18 days. Their sacrifice will never be taken for granted. We'll make it sure their buddies(other syrians) will never catch the same disease that hit them. Thanks a lot Hazel and Princess Hope for the joy you brought us. We love you both!
Takoyaki was a syrian hamster who always loved being cuddled and touched, even though she's only a newcomer; she's very sweet! We miss her a lot! We love you takoyaki!
Another example of a friendship so strong, that even in death, they were together... Both of them were innocent and funny. They always made us laugh when their innocence shows everytime they wander around their home. Thank you very much for giving us joy and spirit when we needed them most! Love you lots!
jiggly puff is a sweet pale eared white syrian. she's so cute and lovely. we miss her a lot! we love you jiggly puff!!!
My hamster just died today September 25th,2000. I went over to her cage this morning and she was just lying there. At first I thought she was hybernating so I warmed her with my breath for 2 hours. She finally started to move, but was gasping for air. Then after a few hours she died in my hand. She was our first hamster and was such a clown. We will miss her dearly.

pumba is a syrian hamster who always loved showing his tricks to us. one of our favorites is when he climbs his wire cage to the center and then suddendly letting go of his front legs. in that upside down position he'll stay until you gave him enough attention and praise. he's something that can never be replaced... ever... we'll forever miss you pumba! love you!

jil is a cute, lovely syrian hamster. she was born on the 7th of April 2000. she used to make us laugh with her silly big tummy and her chubby little face. she got pregnant but mistakingly ate her litters. she thought they were food. she was very sorry for that. yet, on the early days of october 2000, she got sick and her body dropped down. she died on the 26th of november. we miss her so much. we love you baby jil and thank you very much...

My Siberian hamster, Judy, died on a date I do not exactly know but I do remember crying my eyes out when she did. She was a white hamster with pink eyes. She was, if I remember correctly, not the sweetest little thing. I miss her soooooo much. Bye Judy! :-(
my hamster was a great little thing he was small but he was a golden hamster he would never sleep in the day until one day i went out to the store when i left my house he was sleeping which i thought was normal but when i came home he was still sleeping in his cage i just thought that he was tired but it was not like him 3 hours later i went to check on him he was still sleeping so i tried to wake him up strokeing his head hoping he'd wake up i did this for at least a hour that night i kept checking on him not going to sleep tossing and turning i thought dayton would never die that same night my dad gave me a box that i put dayton in and i made a head stone for him out of wood i burried him and the next day i fell into a deep depression but still to this day at night i can still hear dayton in his cage runing in his wheel and if the person that is reading this right know if you had a hamster that died if your quiet enough you yourself could probably hear your hamster running in his wheel
Mimi was a Mench. She was a member of our four-member family, and we were shocked when she died in December of 2000. She was a year and nine months old. Mimi had amazing special intelligence, and was always working on a sculpting project, using the litter in her cage. Sometimes in the morning, all the stuff in her cage would be so amazingly re-arranged, it was like aliens visited her in the night! But no, it was Mimi doing all the work herself. She was the first hamster I ever had, and she was beautiful with black spots on both her ears. She was like a little furry angel in my life. Mimi is buried in Washington Square Park in NYC.
Mortimer died on February 5th 2001. He was 1 year and 8 months old. He broke a cheek pouch a few days before and didn't survive. His favorite activities were sleeping, climbing on his cage, eating paint off his cage, and sprinting along my leg when I was laying down. His favorite food was yogurt drops and paint from his cage. Morty..if you can hear us, we love you with all our hearts and we miss you terribly. We hope you had a wonderful life.
was a beloved member of our institute. Owned by Geoff and supervised by Layla, Jane and Samy, Taurus and two 2 gold fish, represented the non-Homo sapiens element of the animal kingdom in an institute dedicated to the preservation of plants. An Italian national of Syrian origin, he made an outstanding contribution to the institute in furthering knowledge of the nutritive qualities of Helianthus annuus (sunflower). Joining us in March 1999, Taurus died after office hours on the 26th of January 2001. He lies buried in a verdant patch overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Taurus, we miss the comforting sound of you crunching seeds and exercising on your squeeky running wheel, as well as the friendly 'nips' you gave us all.
