SCREAMIN' FOR A FIELD Two of the Hillsborough County Commissioners held a meeting on June 25 with one of the abutters and decided to rescind the field offer. They rescinded the field based on safety concerns due to traffic flow and property devaluation. The Driveway Permit we received from the State specifies that the road system in that area can handle the increase in traffic flow. No proof has been given that shows property devaluation due to the addition of a Football Field. We are currently communicating with Hillsborough County on an alternative field site. We still urge all parents to write and call the Hillsborough County Commissioners, specified in your July Newsletter, and let them know that the taxpayers of that field want to use it as a Football Field. |
