Mizu Tama Dojo

The Mizu Tama Dojo teaches the art of Kempo. Kempo as taught by the concepts of Kosho and the lineage of Mitose, sensei. Its goal.... to help solidify the individual as a Peaceful Warrior, blending and harmonizing the body, mind and spirit.

The following is years of collecting various texts from numerous authors, many of which are unmentioned herein. It is not important who wrote what, but that which they wrote. As a Kempo-ka (student of kempo) we study much more then the martial practices. We must understand our roots and that which forms our essence. To be a Peaceful Warrior we must look for the similarities in all aspects of life. We must understand our history and that which comprised those warriors, more than the martial movement, yes much more. For to understand where we are going we must undstand where we have been. At times we must be soldiers, and at other times priest and healer. No matter our culture, faith or ethnicity we are the same inside. Yes, we may call things by a different name or see something from another angle, but in the end Shaka, God, the Truth is the same. These texts are intended to provide you a foundation for a lifetime of study. It is not intended to make you a Buddhist, or a soldier, but a Peaceful and Spiritual Warrior. Do not take all that is written here as Gospel. But as a starting point to find Truth. Remember to let go of ego.

We all travel so far to realize it was in our backyard all that time.

We all climb the same mountain. Some by different paths, some by different vehicles. But in the end, in our own time, we reach the summit. And is it not at the summit that we all see the same moon?

Find the Buddha, seek him out. Once you meet and understand him…strike him dead. That is when you shall reach enlightenment, the way of a buddha.

The opinions and viewpoints of the producers of this collection of text do not necessarily reflect those of the S.K.S.K.I. , Thomas Mitose, its parent company or other subsidiaries/ associated management.

The 3 Refuges

1- Buddha- Buddha is not GOD. Like Jesus he is teacher and exemplifyer. There is but one God.

2- Dharma- The Truth. The Truth which many ascended Masters have spoken through out the ages, like Buddha and Jesus.

3- Sangha- The order or brotherhood of disciples that followed the Great Teachers.

Laws and Rules

Before Time Was

Before time was, there was The One; The One was all & all was The One. And the vast expanse known as the Universe was The One, allwise, all-pervading, all-powerful, eternally changing. And Space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms equal but opposite, fashioning the Yin and Yang from the One and of The One. The Yin & Yang stretched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness surrounded them. They were alone, solitary save for The One. So they formed energy into gases and gases into suns and planets and moons; they sprinkled the Universe with whirling globes and so all was given shape by the hands of the Yin and Yang. Light arose and the sky was illuminated by a billion suns. and the Yin and Yang, satisfied by their works, rejoiced and loved, and were one. From their union sprang seeds of life, and of the human race, so that we might achieve incarnation upon the Earth. The Yin chose the Moon as her symbol, and the Yang the Sun as his symbol to remind the inhabitants of Earth of their fashioners. All are born, live, die and are reborn beneath The Sun and Moon; all things come to pass thereunder, and all occurs with the blessings of The One, as has been the way of existence before time was.

The Law of Power

Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control others. But if the need rises, Power shall be used to protect your life or the lives of others. Power is used only as need dictates. Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you harm none. It is unwise to accept money for use of Power, for it quickly controls its taker. Use not Power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the user. Ever remember that Power is the sacred gift of the Divine, and should never be misused or abused. And this is the law of Power.

The Law

Harm none. This, the oldest law, is not open to interpretation or change. Shed not blood in fear, uncertainty or doubt Those of our ways are kind to all creatures, for hurtful thoughts are quiet draining and aren't worth the loss of energy. Misery is self-created; so, too, is joy, so create joy and disdain misery and unhappiness. And this is within your power. So harm not. Teach only what you know, to the best of your ability, to those students who you choose, but teach not to those who would use your instructions for destruction or control. Also, teach not to boost pride, forever remember: He who teaches out of love shall be enfolded in the arms of the Divine. Ever remember that if you would be of our way, keep the law close to your heart, for it is the nature of the Way to keep the Law. If ever the need arises, any law may be changed or discarded, and new laws written to replace them, so long as the new laws don't break the oldest law of all: Harm None.

Rule of Three

Ever mind the Rule of Three. Three times what thou givest returns to thee. This lesson well, thou must learn. Thee only gets what thou dost earn!

7 principles & 12 laws of change

Seven Universal Principles of the Order of the Universe

1. Everything is a differentiation of One Infinity.

2. Everything changes.

3. All antagonisms are complementary.

4. There is nothing identical.

5. What has a front has a back.

6. The bigger the front, the bigger the back.

7. What has a beginning has an end.

Twelve Laws of Change of the Infinite Universe

1. One Infinity manifests itself into complementary and antagonistic tendencies, yin and yang, in its endless change.

2. Yin and yang are manifested continuously from the eternal movement of One Infinite Universe.

3. Yin represents centrifugality. Yang represents centripetality. Yin and yang together produce energy and all phenomena.

4. Yin attracts yang. Yang attracts yin.

5. Yin repels yin. Yang repels yang.

6. Yin and yang combined in varying proportions produce different phenomena. The attraction and repulsion among phenomena is proportional to the difference of the yin and yang forces.

7. All phenomena are ephemeral, constantly changing their constitution of yin and yang forces; yin changes into yang, yang changes into yin.

8. Nothing is solely yin or solely yang. Everything is composed of both tendencies in varying degrees.

9. There is nothing neuter. Either yin or yang is in excess in every occurrence.

10. Large yin attracts small yin. Large yang attracts small yang.

11. Extreme yin produces yang, and extreme yang produces yin.

12. All physical manifestations are yang at the center, and yin at the surface.

Ideals of a True (Peaceful/Spiritual) Warrior

-Warriors do not dress or behave ostentatiously. They appear and act in a way that no one will notice without looking deep within.

-When they have wealth, they are not extravagant.

-When they have nothing, they do not fear.

-Warriors are different; they seem average but none can fathom their worth. So they are called True Warriors.

Mind and Body of a Warrior

-The mind rules the body; the Spirit is the mind’s precious treasure. A body used without rest will collapse. A spirit used without rest will be exhausted. Warriors value and respect the body, mind and spirit.

-For there is true knowledge (Truth) when there is a True Warrior.

-If you focus on your shortcomings and forget your strengths, it will be impossible to ever feel worthy in this world.

-A warrior is a being of integrity. He is honest with others, and most importantly with himself. He controls his life.

-Remember that many wars weaken people, and many victories turn rulers arrogant. Arrogant rulers governing weak people will be the death of any nation.

-The Spirit within, can rest on a hairs tip. Yet it is larger that the Universe. When the body rules- the Spirit is wounded. When the Spirit rules the whole being benefits.
