"Whimperings of Love"
My heart was overwhelmed by grief,
My spirit laid quite low;
In silent streams upon my cheeks,
My tears began to flow.
I turned my gaze upon the fields,
Fresh watered from above;
When suddenly the silence broke,
By whimperings of love.
Twas then my eyes did meet with theirs',
So gentle, wise, and kind;
They tried to heal my aching heart,
And soothe my troubled mind.
My heart was touched and lifted up,
To see them striving so;
That night my winsome Sibes did seek,
My Maker's love to show.
