Here is a Samhain piece written by Cat

How soon we forget
that for centuries past
the last harvest of the year
was vital to all
and long celebrated
by those who lived on this food
and awaited it's coming.

The light became dim
and the dark became long
and the earth would be asleep.

And they thought of the harvest
not only of food
but the harvest of souls
tended by the grim reaper
and we honor their passing.
