JOHN B. HENSON was born in VA sometime around 1829. I do not know who his parents were. He married LUCY ANN GRAVES 10/07/1845 in Petersburg VA. LUCY ANN GRAVES parents were Richard Graves and Phoebe Graves, both born in VA.
According to the 1850 Census of Prince George Co. VA JOHN was 27 years old and his occupation was Sailor. LUCY was 24 years old. They had one child Harriet Henson age 2.
According to the 1860 Census of City Point, Prince Georges County, VA John was 30 years old and his occupation was Sailor. Lucy Ann was 27 years old. Their children are as follows and were all born in VA:
Harriet A. 12 years old
Samuel Emmet 9 years old (See Samuel Emmett Henson page)
M.E. (female) 5 years old
J.W. (male) 2 years old (His name may have been James)
I lose them in VA after this census. The only other mention I have is in an old family bible which states that JOHN B> HENSON died July 9, 1888.
