103.9 WDRE...Philly's Modern Rock
Philadelphia and surrounding areas' radio waves were conquered by WDRE, the most
popular radio station in the Tri-State Area, but not anymore. On February 7th,
1997, modern rock as we knew it was history in Philadelphia. Now WDRE stands
for Dre, as in Dr. Dre. All rap and R&B on 103.9 now. This page is dedicated
to the once-awesome radio station. Its "sister" station, Y-100 took over the modern rock scene in Philly luckily.
So at least not all is lost. Read on about WDRE.
